Lorien celebrate 40th birthday by breaking a GUINNESS WORLD-RECORDS® title. Lorien and onezeero. became record breakers last week as they entered the Guinness World Records® for the ping pong balls bounced into a target in three minutes in team on 9th June 2017 as part of their 40th anniversary celebrations. The outsourced and IT recruitment specialists hosted an all-day festival and black tie themed evening conference for its 220 employees in recognition of their hard work and achievements over the past four decades since Lorien’s conception.
The day included a funfair, awards ceremony, live music and Massaoke. The day’s events also featured a world-first, as Lorien marked its 40 years by officially entering the Guinness World Records® family.
As part of their attempt, employees were tasked with simultaneously bouncing as many ping pong balls into a target from three metres away as possible in a three minute time period. Lorien successfully bounced 134 balls, exceeding the previous record of 100. The task required a significant team effort as Lorien and onezeero. employees worked to coordinate & synchronise multiple teams to ensure the rules were adhered to!
The Guiness World Records® title will serve as another cause for celebration amongst Lorien’s many.
