I am working in partnership with a financial company based in Nottingham that is on the lookout for passionate Software Development Engineers (SDE) to join their Platform Services Team.

With operational excellence in mind you will be taking on the challenge of delivering products in the cloud always considering scale, security, availability and performance. You also will be an integral part of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and use your technical breadth and depth in multiple areas of the business. Your influence will extend far beyond the immediate team.
In terms of programming languages the core focus of their development is Java development (Java EE, Spring, Maven and Hibernate). Understanding of SOA, HTTP and REST and awareness of cloud infrastructure would be beneficial. You will also work with a range of modern software development principles and methodologies including Agile, Scrum, TDD, BDD, DevOps and Continuous Integration and will be encouraged to contribute ideas and alternative ways of working.

You'll have a manager sit down with you every 3 months to go through your personal development plan - this could be a chance to review salary, talk about what kind of projects you need help with at the time, or just a general chat about your wellbeing - whatever you want out of it, it's your chance to talk to the people in the business who have an impact on your future.
You will also receive a competitive base salary between £35,000-£45,000 and will be in the perfect position to progress as both the business and the team grows.
