I am working in partnership with a company based in Leeds City Centre that is on the lookout for passionate Software Development Engineers to join their development team working on an exciting Greenfield project.
You'll be joining one of the most exciting tech teams in Leeds as a Senior Software Engineer working with the latest technologies on their next generation in-house platforms, primarily written in Kotlin and leaning heavily on message-oriented microservice design patterns.
They'll be looking for you to work closely with colleagues in all positions, so a good level of interpersonal skill is important. They're not building a monolithic enterprise app - think microservices and a lean approach with quick running tests and deployment. This should be something you're passionate about too.
In terms of programming languages the core focus of their development is Java, Kotlin development (Java EE, Spring, Maven and Hibernate). As Data features heavily for this company, you should appreciate there are many storage patterns, knowing the strengths and weaknesses when compared to traditional relational databases.
This is a team that is comprised of talented technologists all passionate about one thing... delivering a solution that helps their customers. They work in a collaborative and free-flowing environment, where creativity and innovation is encouraged and emerging technologies.
This is a company that is committed to investing in the latest technology and offer a relaxed and collaborative company culture. There is none of the 'red tape' associated with larger organisations and the focus has and always will be on crafting high-quality solutions.
You'll have a manager sit down with you every 3 months to go through your personal development plan - this could be a chance to review salary, talk about what kind of projects you need help with at the time, or just a general chat about your wellbeing - whatever you want out of it, it's your chance to talk to the people in the business who have an impact on your future.
You will also receive a competitive base salary between £35,000-£55,000 and will be in the perfect position to progress as both the business and the team grows.
Interviews are currently ongoing for this role so it is in your best interests to make your interest known as soon as possible.
