Quantitative Developer - Commodities Trading

A well renowned commodities trading business are looking for a Technical Quantitative Developer to join their team on a contract basis.

As Quantitative Developer / Data Engineer you will be responsible for leading the development of data analysis, ingestion, extraction and visualisation tools utilising the Microsoft Azure platform. Using the latest auto deployment, testing and monitoring techniques, you will create tools to manage real-time data from numerous sources into various data platforms, whilst also helping establish best practices around data governance, security and privacy.

The successful Quantitative Developer will need to have demonstrable experience with data platforms, working with large, complex data sets and be comfortable with numerous Big Data technologies. You will have exposure to Cloud technologies (particularly Microsoft Azure) and be thoroughly comfortable with SQL based technologies. Knowledge of visualisation tools such as PowerBI and Spotfire would be highly desirable, as well as experience of deploying analytical solutions in a front office, trading environment (preferably commodities).

Awareness of Agile Frameworks, NoSQL-based technologies, machine learning techniques and experience with data transformation/blending technologies would be a significant benefit.
