Onezeero are working in partnership with an international communications business based in Stockport town centre. My client, with sites across Europe and USA are looking for a Service Desk Manager to continue with the running of the international tech support team.
As the Service Desk Manager you'll be required to ensure smooth delivery of IT support across the business. Managing a team of about 10 individuals, there will be expectations around team motivation, skill alignment, mentorship and general HR management.
You will be given to freedom to manage the service desk as you see fit, aligning the processes to improve the overall efficiency. This will be a technically "hands-off" role however providing mentorship to apprentices and junior team members will be expected.
With the continued growth of the business, this is an excellent opportunity to put your stamp on how you'd run the service desk, giving you a chance to demonstrate your ability.
Within the successful Service Desk Manager we are looking for the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience managing an IT Support Desk
- Knowledge of technology including: Windows Server/VMware/Office 365
- Knowledge and practical application of ITIL
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong ability to motivate team members
